Wood River is a Brooklyn based band lead by multi instrumentalist Charlotte Greve.
Expect back beats, through composedmelodies, enigmatic lyrics and grooves, bathed in swirling synths, alto saxophone, electric bass and guitars – Music that is as uncategorizable as the musicians are versatile. A captivating blend of jazz, ambient and rock music with a rarely heard compositional rigour.

“Wood River let creativity flourish with exploratory Art-Pop”
“With their collective ability to transcend genre, Wood River channels influences as far-flung as jazz-rock fusion, ambient trance music and quirky art-pop, all with a well-honed feel for disruptive improvisation.”
“From the opening notes of the first song “Future Fun”, you can hear Greve’s exploratory, free-flowing sensibility as she creatively fuses influences of prog and art rock, jazz and pop together to form a sound that is totally unique.”
“More Than I Can See” is an uplifting, forward-thinking concept album – a collection of songs that truly sounds like nothing you’ve heard before and the work of a band that has evolved into a symbiotic unit.” – Glide Magazine
“Trippy Pop for Now people – intended for those with an ear for adventure” – Rant ’N’ Roll / The Aquarian
“The German songstress Charlotte Greve certainly defies classification here, as jazz, trance and dance traces linger throughout the record, where playfulness and dynamic interplay are never in short supply.” – Take Effect
“More than I Can See“ is gonna share a playlist with Julia Holter, not John Coltrane. Its an art-pop album where Greve’s sunbeam vocals are carried along by ambient jazz harmonies. (…) Greve is on a creative path that moves in many directions at once” – Best of Bandcamp, March 2020
