SNAEX are back in the saddle and this time they’ve got all the stuff. Drummer and one of the founding members of Cerberus Shoal, Tom Rogers (also with An Evening With) has finally re-joined the fold. Those singing songwriters Chris Teret and Chriss Sutherland along with the amazingly sensitive bassist Tyler Heydolph have welcomed Rogers in order to complete a circular square that was started awhile back. SNAEX continue to know no limits, while aspiring to align themselves with what is always necessary: patience, harmony, and the child’s mind. Teret hails from Baltimore, but has called Portland home for over a decade, founded a band called Company. Sutherland, from Maine, originated and maintained such musics as Cerberus Shoal, Fire on Fire, and Olas. Heydolph, raised in Brattleboro, is often seen and heard playing with Mark Tipton. All now reside in the Portland, Maine area.
David Camlin is taking some time off from his crippling depression and anxiety to relearn the songs he’s been writing for the past seventeen or so years. His catalogue of mostly unnamed compositions draws inspiration from a variety of influences from the Appalachians through the Acadian maritime and beyond. A self taught finger-picking introvert with caveman tendencies, there’s a small chance he’ll forget a song and smash his guitar.
